James Franco played the title role in Mark Rydell's TV biographical film James Dean, which gave him a Golden Globe for Best Actor in 2001. Franco came to fame in the early 2000s when he was cast as Harry Osborn in the movies Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man 3.
